i am getting this error when i am trying to upload app on play store.
“Your app currently targets API level 26 and must target at least API level 28 to ensure it is built on the latest APIs optimized for security and performance. Change your app’s target API level to at least 28”
how can i update my targets API level to 28?
@wodin Thanks for your response
i already have SDK 32.
Ok. As per the comment you need at least SDK 33.
@wodin i have upgrade my project to SDK 33 but now my APK file size increased about 90 %
Now when i upload my APK on Play Store then i am getting this warning message.
This APK results in unused code and resources being sent to users. Your app could be smaller if you used the Android App Bundle. By not optimizing your app for device configurations, your app is larger to download and install on users’ devices than it needs to be. Larger apps see lower install success rates and take up storage on users’ devices.
Is there any way i can decrees my APK size.
You can build app bundle with
expo build:android -t app-bundle. Size of resulting *.aab file will be the same , but after uploading to store users will need to fetch significantly less(it’s repackaged internally by google play).
Thanks @wodin & @wkozyra for your help this solution work for me.
