I’m encountering an issue when trying to run npx eas build -p ios --auto-submit in my Expo project directory. The error suggests a version incompatibility between the required Node version for metro-config@0.79.1 and the Node version present in the environment.

The error message indicates that metro-config@0.79.1 expects a Node version of “>=18”, but the environment has Node version “16.18.1”.
I have already updated my local Node version to the latest (version 20), but the error persists, suggesting that the build environment might not be recognizing the updated Node version.
Attempts to Resolve:
Checked the Node version using various methods to ensure the update was successful.
Tried installing the latest expo-cli and eas-cli as per recommendations from the Expo blog.

where is metro-config@0.79.1 coming from? this version was just released 11 hours ago and is not associated with any currently released react-native version, as far as i know. also, npx expo-doctor should tell you that this version isn’t recommended
