Expo icons fail to load vector icons

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 49.0.8
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): iOS

I am running an expo application with iOS simulator and I have some Icons within my application. However none of the icons show up when running the application and I get a warning saying possible unhandled promise rejection
Error: Directory for ‘file:///path/ExponentAsset-3a2ba31570920eeb9b1d217cabe58315.ttf’ doesn’t exist. Please make sure directory ‘/path’ exists before calling downloadAsync.
