Expo app works on ios but not on android

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version:49.0.8
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): Android
  3. Add the appropriate “Tag” based on what Expo library you have a question on.

when i navigate to a different screen in expo and i it renders sevral times the screen does not appear on android but appears on ios. However when i go to overview and open the app again it appears.
