Stuck on Splash Screen on IOS app launch without internet connection

My custom dev client, is not showing the initial screen (the expo initial screen not my app), without internet connection, trying to open the app also gets stuck on the splash screen forever (until I connect to the internet and reopen it).

This is really annoying, I even tried the offline argument which used to work with Expo GO but doesn’t work here.

expo start --dev-client --ios --offline
