San Francisco is not a system font

  1. SDK Version: 41
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): iOS

Our designer told me to use “SF Pro Display” as the app font.

When googling the font, it seems that it is included with iOS, but its name is “San Francisco”. See GitHub - react-native-training/react-native-fonts: Fonts available out of the box in a React Native project

However, when I use fontFamily: 'San Francisco', I get an error:

fontFamily "San Francisco" is not a system font and has not been loaded through Font.loadAsync.

I tried other names, “SF Pro”, “SF Pro Display”, “SanFrancisco”, but they do not work. Other fonts from the list seem to work.

What am I doing wrong?

san francisco is the default font on ios

also, you can see the full list of fonts available on the system directly in the app from Constants.systemFonts - Constants - systemFonts - Snack (you probably want to actually console.log this locally
