Question on expo background fetch

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version:Expo 45
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): iOS

Am working on running expo-background-fetch on an EAS project. I am able to trigger the background fetch via instrument app as the document suggest.

However if the app is left in the background, the fetch does not seem to happen. Is anyone able to trigger a fetch when the app is left in the background naturally? Does anyone know if it is possible to schedule a time to tigger a fetch?
