I tried on the IOS app to add a project from a friend. Unfortunately the app doesn’t show the plus icon in the upper right corner. Do you have any ideas to solve this issue?

This is expected behavior. On iOS, we had to remove project sharing functionality in order to conform to Apple’s guidelines and policies. You can read more about this here: Upcoming Limitations to iOS Expo Client | by Ben Roth | Exposition
