Minimum Expo SDK needed for pushing to Apple and Android stores

Hi all,

I’ll need to do an update of an existing app to the stores that is planned for this April/May.

Right now I’m on Expo SDK 44.0.0 with react-native on 0.64.4.

Updating to SDK 45.0.0 already gives a lot of issues.

Will both Apple and Google still accept my app with SDK 44 and RN 0.64.4? Can’t seem to find that answer.

Thanks

For Apple Store, you will need to upgrade your expo SDK to 47 (Recommended:48).

Dear Developer,
We identified one or more issues with a recent delivery for your app, “************”. Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:
ITMS-90725: SDK Version Issue - This app was built with the iOS 15.5 SDK. Starting April 2023, all iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 16.1 SDK or later, included in Xcode 14.1 or later.
After you’ve corrected the issues, you can upload a new binary to App Store Connect.
Best regards,
The App Store Team

That’s an email from Apple with the warning. expo 47 and 48 are the only built to support ios16 i believe.

For android, I don’t have an answer for what is required.
