I have changed the name of my app but when I receive notifications it still displays the old name of the app.

Hi, I have successfully changed the name of my app by updating the name property in the app.json file. This is great but I still receive notifications through as if it has my old app name. Is there something else I need to do or does my new binary need to be accepted by Apple first?

I have since found out this is not enough. You must change the app name in App Store Connect under App Information, FYI this requires a fresh binary to change.

The App Store has accepted my new name and we are now listed under the new name but I am still receiving notifications under the old name. Are there any further steps I need to take or is this a wait for something to happen thing?

I think what finally resolved it was deleting and re-installing the app. Might clear some cache or something.
