How to hide androif bottom buttons when full screen in video

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: current
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): android
  3. Add the appropriate “Tag” based on what Expo library you have a question on.

Using the expo video player in fullscreen leaves the android buttons in place. Hiding them works but not in fullscreen. They just come back.

In the documentation there is a link to a UI add on that solves this problem, but the repo is broken and does not allow pause to work.
