Any update on the native support for FCM for iOS without having to eject? So native push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging without intervention of the Expo Push Notification service(s)?
Expo seems like a great framework and suits our needs 99%. Except, for security reasons, we cannot have the Expo services in between. So currently it’s a no go.
I don’t think they support this yet.

We still are using APNS for iOS Push Notifications, and I can’t say when we would switch to FCM (we made the switch for Android largely due to GCM’s deprecation).
But if you need more information on security/privacy regarding Push Notifications, feel free to read the Push Notification FAQ as it’s covered quite succinctly there.
