Expo will not load on Android: MAC OS on M1 Silicon

When starting the application on the Android simulator, I get this error:

Couldn’t start project on Android: Error running adb: adb: failed to install /Users//.expo/android-apk-cache/Exponent-2.23.2.apk: Failure
[INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]

The computer is a new MACBOOK M1 with plenty of disk available.

I have tried multiple simulators (Pixel 4 XL is the latest). There appears to be plenty of disk on the simulator storage, so I do not think this is actually a disk space issue.

Anybody know where to start?

I have the exakt same problem.
Couldn’t start project on Android: Error running adb: adb: failed to install /Users/remove_user_name/.expo/android-apk-cache/Exponent-2.23.2.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]

New Macbook pro with M1. I use Visual Studio Code.
I have also tried to “drag and drop” the .apk file into the emulator
I get the same error.

This is a complete blocker, did you find a solution?

No - have not found a solution or, even a clue.

Currently using iOS simulator which works OK, but I have to use a physical device for ANDROID (Pixel 4).
