Expo-Locations not working in background

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 43
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): Android & iOS
  3. Add the appropriate “Tag” based on what Expo library you have a question on. “expo-location”

We are trying to implement background location tracking feature using expo-locations, Everything is working well on Android and iOS part when application working on foreground, but when user puts the phone on sleep or kills the application background location fetching stops working or may be unstable, There is an open issue on your Github (Location.startLocationUpdatesAsync - not working when app killed/closed · Issue #3503 · expo/expo · GitHub, Location.startLocationUpdatesAsync - no realtime updates on android, when in background (even with foregroundService) · Issue #9200 · expo/expo · GitHub) Please look into open issues and give some proper fix to it. As this issues are reported in 2019.
