eas-cli reports Invalid Code on 2FA for Apple Developer Credentials

When attempting eas build or any command that requires Apple 2FA verification, I receive “Invalid Code”. I’ve verified that I’m not crazy and I am entering the code correctly.

I’m at a loss as to what could be causing it. 2FA is working fine when logging into an Apple property like developer.apple.com etc.

I’ve changed my password and reentered it in eas without any change in behavior. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I resolved this by adding a new phone number for SMS verification in my Apple ID settings… Super strange but appears to be an Apple issue somehow.
