Do I have to pay if is use EAS for OTA updates?

I have been using microsoft’s react-native-code-push and I would like to shift to Expo-Updates since I have started using Expo.

I will build apk or ipa locally( In my machine) and submit to the respective stores. Then I would like to give OTA updates if necessary.

Do I have to pay anything to Expo to achieve my above requirement?

Hey @syamk,

Currently, we do have a free plan. For more information, please see expo.dev/pricing.

@amanhimself Thank you for your response.

  1. Currently, we do have a free plan

Are there any chances that it’s gonna be chargeable in future?

I assume that the above image indicates pricing about OTA updates. If I am wrong, Can you please let me know what it is?

Conditions of the free plan might change in the future, but it’s very unlikely that we stop offering free plan at all

Yes, this is the pricing when you go above the limits of the free plan. e.g. If you have under 1000 updaters it’s free, but you need to pay for each additional 1000 updaters.

@wkozyra thank you for your response.

Can I assume 1000 updaters as 1000 devices?

If I am right, If I am gonna give updates to more than 1000 devices then I will have to pay, Right!
