- On IOS Simulator, I have Expo Client set to options “Dark Mode” → “Automatic”.
- In Simulator I set Dark Appearance to Enabled.
- Expo Client does not automatically update to Dark Mode.
The same effect takes place when switching Dark Appearance off in the simulator.
We’ve actually had a really hard time with this type of thing. It would be nice if we had Expo Client’s ability to toggle Dark Mode On/Off for our app through app.json or through other means, but so far nothing works.
Restarting Expo Client resolves the issue, but without restarting expo client it does not propagate dynamically (reactively) to our app.
