My conclusion at this point is that if you are doing Background Location updates and user selects “Always” in the app, it will always show activity in Battery, like this:
Now…it doesn’t necessarily “kill the battery”, but it always shows as being on which could freak some users out of keeping it to “Always” and just switch it back to “When In Use”.
I’m not sure if it’s just an iOS thing or a configuration with Expo. At this point…I’m going to experiment with setting other apps to “Always” and seeing if they show similarly in iOS battery.
Has anyone seen “Always” for background updates NOT be show up with “1h Background” in iOS Battery?
