Background video playback stops after 3 minutes on Android

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 36
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): Android

I’m using the expo video component to play a video from a URL (in the background) and after the app is in the background for around 3-5 minutes the playback stops. From what I can see the app loses connection and the video doesn’t start loading until the app is foregrounded again.
